What is an affiliate program? 

An affiliate program is a revenue sharing program wherein a webmaster or publisher (the affiliate) drive their traffic/audience to the merchant's website (Treasure Island Media, in this case) and earns commissions in exchange for their referral. 

How does an affiliate program work?

When a visitor to your site clicks on the affiliate link to the Treasure Island Media website that you are promoting, and subsequently completes a purchase, you earn comission on that sale, and each time that sale rebills (in the instance of recurring products, i.e. memberships).

How are my referrals tracked?

Once you are signed up to the affiliate program you will be supplied with a unique linking code that enables us to track a user through their cookies as they travel throughout our network of sites. This also enables us to recognize a returning user that you have previously referred as traffic, who may not immediately convert to a purchase. This allows us to credit you for sales from your traffic that are not immediately post-click.

Who can become an affiliate?

Anyone can become an affiliate if they have an audience that can be directed to our sites as traffic with a propensity of converting to a sale.

What is the approval process to become an affiliate?

After filling out the affiliate sign up form HERE, you will receive an email to advise you that your request is pending. At this time the admin will process the sign up and approve your affiliate status within 24 business hours.

Why do I need to submit a W9 before payment?

If you do not submit your completed W9 form we are unable to make a payment to you, as we require this information for US tax purposes. If you have any specific questions regarding the W9 that we may be able to assist with, please email affiliates@treasureislandmedia.com.

What payment options do I have?

What is the grace period before a commission is included in a payout report?

The grace period is 30 days.

When will I be paid out?

Payouts are calculated on the 10th day of each month, and will be processed through your chosen payment channel within another 5 business days. Please allow additional time for offline payment options for mailing.

How do I change my information?

You can change your information by following the prompts on your profile within the affiliate dashboard.

I've signed up... now what?

Congratulations! Now all that you have to do is log in to the affiliate dashboard, as available in your affiliate approval recognition email and follow the prompts to start earning cash on your referrals!

How do I get to the affiliate dashboard?

Follow the links from your profile within the Treasure Island Media sites, or go directly via this link (you'll still have to log in).

Where can I review my reporting in the dashboard?

Reporting is available under the statistics tab, which will give you real time insights on your traffic and earnings.

How do I get credit for social media posts?

If you're curating your own content for social media posts, leverage the URL links embedded in the script from the image that you've selected to use. These are available by clicking directly on your selected image.

How do I link to specific products?

If you're copying and pasting the code that we have implemented for a specific asset within our program, we are already directing people to where they need to go. If you're curating your own unique amagalmation of assets from our sites, you can visit the link codes section of the affiliate dashboard to toggle URLs that will direct your audience to the right URL and credit you for any potential sales.

What if I promote one product, but the user converts as a sale for another?

You'll still get paid! We're recognizing you for the traffic that you've brought to us who have made a purchase, not product specific marketing.

What is an auto rotation creative?

An auto rotation creative, as found within the affiliate program assets, is an embed code that pulls the latest asset within your selected categories. This enables affiliates to seamlessly keep ad units up to date with Treasure Island Media content without having to facilitate frequent creative changes and trafficking.

How do I move up a tier within the program?

The tiers are based on the amount of commissions paid to an affiliate within the most recent 365 days. The more that you promote Treasure Island Media, the higher your payout will be.

I have transferred from the old TIMREV program, what tier will I be transposed into?

All legacy affiliates will be grandfathered in at Tier 3 to meet the same program and payout parameters as affiliates had previously held.

I have transferred from the old TIMREV program, will I continue to receive rebill payouts?

You will, however, it is imperative that you have provided us with your former NAT's tracking code to ensure that we can associate those commissions with your new account. We accept no responsibility for affiliates who fail to undertake this step at sign up.

What is the payout minimum?

The initial payout minimum is $100 USD, but you're more than welcome to contact us if this is too low or high for you.
